The film that taught us to never, ever mess with an Indian burial ground is getting remade.
"Pet Sematary," the Stephen King chiller and 1989 horror hit about a grieving father who makes the mistake of burying his young son in consecrated ground only to find him reincarnated as a demon, will get a 21st century update.
Matthew Greenberg, no stranger to King country, having written the script for another of the horror maestro's adaptations, "1408," has been tapped for screenplay duties, TheWrap has confirmed.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Steven Schneider will produce the Paramount film.
