The hottest event in indie film kicked off with a bang last week -- drawing some of the biggest stars and most powerful executives in the industry. Robert Redford insisted that top filmmakers are flocking to indie film for the creative control; Spike Lee bashed studios for failing to make films for black audiences; and Tracy Morgan collapsed and had to be rushed to a hospital.
