Miley Cyrus just can’t help herself at MTV Awards shows, but the network took action to block her most recent antics.
While accepting the trophy for Best Video for her hit “Wrecking Ball” at the network’s European Music Awards Sunday, the pop star thanked her fans — her “Smilers” — along with director Terry Richardson for “putting this all together.”
But then, this happened: “You know, I couldn’t fit this award in my bag, but I did find this,” Cyrus said, as she pulled out what appeared to be a rolled marijuana cigarette. She lit the joint, took a few puffs and bowed off stage.

The MTV EMAs took place in Amsterdam Sunday evening. MTV did not immediately respond to TheWrap‘s request for comment.
The network had previously censored the infamous twerker at the Video Music Awards in Brooklyn, N.Y. for singing about “molly,” a street term for ecstasy. The word was removed from broadcasts.
