Levy’s departure comes a year after Clay Spencer, who co-headed scripted programming for MTV, left the company. Spencer left a day after Susanne Daniels was appointed MTV president of programming, taking the place of David Janollari. Spencer had come to the network with Janollari after working with him previously.

Levy was responsible for the MTV series “Awkward” and “Teen Wolf.”

Deadline first reported Levy’s departure.
