Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort presented a first look clip from their upcoming film, “The Fault in Our Stars” during hte MTV Movie Awards on Sunday from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Based on the bestselling novel by John Green, “The Fault in Our Stars” explores the growing relationship between Hazel (Woodley) and Gus (Elgort), two extraordinary teenagers who met and fell in love at a cancer support group.

In the preview, Gus uses an unlit cigarette to explain a metaphor to Hazel, in the process passing on some wisdom.
The film co-stars Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, Nat Wolff and Willem Dafoe as reclusive author Peter Van Houten.
“Twilight” producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen produced the film through their Temple Hill banner.

Fox will release the film on June 6.
