MTVs ‘Hard Times’ Gets June Debut

The potentially controversial teen comedy will bow right after the MTV Movie Awards

MTV’s not dicking around with the debut of "The Hard Times of RJ Berger."

The network Monday said it will debut its foray into scripted comedy on June 6 at 11 p.m., right after the MTV Movie Awards. It’s a high-profile spot for MTV’s big push into scripted comedy.

As previously reported, "Hard Times" is MTV’s "Hung"-like half-hour about a teen geek who finds his life dramatically altered when the rest of the world discovers that he’s well-endowed. The network describes the show as part "Wonder Years," part-"Superbad."

MTV’s regular timeslot for "Hard Times" will be Mondays at 10 starting June 14.
