MTV’s ‘Real World: Skeletons’ Digs Into Contestants’ Pasts in New Twist

The 30th anniversary season of the seminal reality series will be set in Chicago

MTV has promised the most intense “Real World” yet for the 30th season of its long-running reality show franchise.

“Real World: Skeletons” takes the show back to Chicago, which will see the roommates moving into a nightclub-turned-loft, thinking they are in for a fabulous time away from their lives back home. But these roommates have skeletons in the closet, and will be in for a shock when the last person they want to see moves into the loft with them.

In one example, roommate Bruno is confronted by estranged brother Briah, who he hasn’t spoken to in three years after a big blowup.

“No one wants their worst enemy or embarrassing past moving in with them,” said Jonathan Murray, creator and executive producer. “But by facing your past you actually grow, and that growth, however painful it may be, is what makes this season of ‘The Real World’ so watchable.”
