Originally scheduled to kick off in August, "Cee Lo Green Is Loberace" will now premiere in February
Sorry, Las Vegas — you'll have to wait a little longer for Cee Lo Green to grace you with his glitzy presence.
The "F— You" singer and "The Voice" coach has postponed his upcoming Vegas residency, "Cee Lo Green Is Loberace," until next year due to scheduling conflicts with NBC's singing competition "The Voice."
"[A]s we move into the third season of 'The Voice,' with my dedicated commitment to the filming schedule and love for my role on the show, I will need to postpone the opening of ‘Loberace’ to early 2013," Green said in a statement. "Most importantly, to all my fans who have already purchased tickets, please accept my sincerest apology, and I hope you can still join me in Vegas next year, so I can properly and finally introduce you to my brainchild, ‘Loberace’! Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
The show — described as "Part dance party, part live intimate concert" — was scheduled to kick off Aug. 29 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The debut has now been pushed back to Feb. 27, 2013, with tickets for the new shows going on sale Aug. 1.
Ticket-holders for the postponed shows can receive an exchange or refund at the original point of purchase.
