First single from the album is due out on Aug. 19
Lady Gaga is letting it all hang out in promotional art for her upcoming album "ARTPOP."
The pop icon tweeted an image to her followers this weekend that seems guaranteed to get the Right Wing's knickers in a proverbial twist. It shows Gaga in her birthday suit, perched on what appears to be the world's most uncomfortable chair. Think of it as the Iron Throne from "Game of Thrones" but with computer parts in place of old swords.
Gaga said the first song from the album will be released on Aug. 19. She is set to perform music from the new release at this year's VMAs, which take place Aug. 25 in Brooklyn.
A nude picture wasn't the weekend's only look at Gaga. She also tweeted another arresting image of herself wearing white, blue and orange makeup — the artwork for her new single, "Applause."
The performances and photos represent a return to the spotlight for Gaga who was forced to cancel her "Born This Way Ball Tour" last year after suffering a labral tear of her right hip.
