What would you do if Avril Lavigne sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on her? Or would you stay and watch her make out with Winnie Cooper from “The Wonder Years?”
If you answered yes to the latter question, then you’re going to watch the singer live out every sk8ter boi’s early ’90s fantasy in her new music video for “Rock N Roll.”
With a little help from her friends, the pop star got actress Danica McKellar to star in the video, and locked lips with her, too, in a nod to the coming-of-age drama that aired for six seasons on ABC between 1988 and 1993.
“It was the first kiss for both of us. We never really talked about it afterward, but I think about the events of that day again and again,” Lavigne says in a voiceover clearly inspired by Fred Savage‘s popular Kevin Arnold character. “And somehow I know, that Winnie does, too.”
Lavigne’s video also features the elusive Billy Zane (“Titanic”) riding a flying segway, and a bear shark.
