Reality producers are not a conservative group.

When the Beverly Hilton’s fire alarms went off in the middle of Thursday’s Hollywood Radio & Television Society lunch with the industry’s top reality television producers, production companies, and executives, almost nobody evacuated the ballroom, despite the flashing lights and repeated announcements.

“If we all die, what a great story this is going to be,” moderator Tom Bergeron cracked. “Idiot Reality People Don’t Leave Burning Building.”

The Coachella festival delivered its usual mix of eclectic sounds, sunny desert ambiance and unnecessary Indian costumes (see: Vanessa Hudgens) after a bone-chilling kickoff on Friday.

Forty-eight hours after receiving a red-carpet “flour bombing," Kim Kardashian had a one-man security detail shadowing her at Perez Hilton’s Mad Hatter Tea Party-themed birthday concert on Saturday night.  

On this night, where the strictly enforced dress code mandated hats, the only white flair in the reality star’s black mane was self-applied.

The spectrum of industry friends supporting the man behind the former “most hated website” illustrated a personal network diverse as the multi-colored parrot that sat on his shoulder as he hosted the six-hour bash in an Aladdin costume.

Disney’s “Shake It Up” star Zendaya is not street legal to drive yet (she’s 15), but she’s thinking ahead. She came right from the set to Thursday’s opening of the Audi Beverly Hills dealership in Beverly Hills, posing with Matt LeBlanc. The shiny opening spread out over both sides of Wilshire Boulevard.

Former Yankees and Dodgers manager Joe Torre was also on the scene. This is an unusual March with Torre not hunkered down in spring training.
