Reality producers are not a conservative group.

When the Beverly Hilton’s fire alarms went off in the middle of Thursday’s Hollywood Radio & Television Society lunch with the industry’s top reality television producers, production companies, and executives, almost nobody evacuated the ballroom, despite the flashing lights and repeated announcements.

“If we all die, what a great story this is going to be,” moderator Tom Bergeron cracked. “Idiot Reality People Don’t Leave Burning Building.”

The non-idiotic reality producers on Bergeron’s panel who survived the false alarm --...

The Coachella festival delivered its usual mix of eclectic sounds, sunny desert ambiance and unnecessary Indian costumes (see: Vanessa Hudgens) after a bone-chilling kickoff on Friday.

To illustrate just how cold it was, around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, the most popular group in the Coachella Valley didn't even have instruments -- it was a team of guys who crashed GenArt’s vast ranch party peddling warmth in the form of a giant box of winter hats. With the wind and chlly temperatures, they were inundated with takers. Even one of Jeffrey Best’s event producers sported a black-and-white-striped hat as her security threw the ambush marketers out....

Coachella Parties 2012: Hollywood, Brands Favor First Weekend

April, 03, 2012 1:56 pm | Comments On #Black Keys, Coachella 2012, Coachella Music Festival, Coachella Valley Music & Arts Music Festival, Dr. Dre, Interscope, Media, Radiohead, Snoop Dogg

As the 2012 Coachella Music Festival expands to two weekends of the Black Keys, Radiohead and Dr. Dre, the lineup of branded mega-estates and pool parties remains largely a one-weekend affair -- the first weekend of April 13-15.

"We want to get everyone when they are fresh, of course,” says Emily Coppock,  Vice President of Marketing for Lacoste.

Here’s an advance look at the social calendar for Coachella’s front-loaded first heat:

Lacoste L!ve’s Saturday and Sunday daytime pool parties at an estate in Thermal are the festival's answer to croquet gatherings. The grassy site looks like Greenwich, Conn., there are inflatable...

Blogger Battle: Perez Hilton and JustJared’s Back-to-Back Parties Show Long Coattails

Forty-eight hours after receiving a red-carpet “flour bombing," Kim Kardashian had a one-man security detail shadowing her at Perez Hilton’s Mad Hatter Tea Party-themed birthday concert on Saturday night.

On this night, where the strictly enforced dress code mandated hats, the only white flair in the reality star’s black mane was self-applied.

The spectrum of industry friends supporting the man behind the former “most hated website” illustrated a personal network diverse as the multi-colored parrot that sat on his shoulder as he hosted the six-hour bash in an Aladdin costume.

Inside the 'Dancing With the Stars' Post-Premiere Soiree

In what has become a tradition for the cast of “Dancing with the Stars,” Monday night marked not only the start of a new broadcast season, but the start of the weekly post-performance soirees.

Each season they anoint a current hotspot where they watch the show, eat, and eke out an additional beat to the night’s storyline with the paparazzi that join them on the unofficial “outside” guest list.

This season, it appears to be Mixology101, a sleek new tree house perched atop a double set of stairs between the Grove and the Farmer’s Market. It opened last week. (Above, Jaleel White, Karina Smirnoff, Maria Menounos, and Derek Hough after the show.)

Party Report: Melissa McCarthy Stays Mum, Sharing a Sunday with Steven Tyler

March, 12, 2012 12:08 pm | Comments On #Andy Cohen, Hollywood parties, Matt LeBlanc, Melissa McCarthy, Sons of Anarchy, Television, Zendaya, Zooey Deschanel

Disney’s “Shake It Up” star Zendaya is not street legal to drive yet (she’s 15), but she’s thinking ahead. She came right from the set to Thursday’s opening of the Audi Beverly Hills dealership in Beverly Hills, posing with Matt LeBlanc. The shiny opening spread out over both sides of Wilshire Boulevard.

Former Yankees and Dodgers manager Joe Torre was also on the scene. This is an unusual March with Torre not hunkered down in spring training.

A week before a 26.2 mile stretch of the city is shut down for the LA Marathon, John Varvatos...

Oscar Weekend Friday Night:

Awards Season Guest Stars (and Regulars) at WIF:

“Have a wonderful weekend and try to avoid hangovers on Sunday,” Gwyneth Paltrow advised the crowd of nominees at Women In Film’s cocktail party on Friday night.

Blythe Danner  watched from off to the side as Paltrow added, “We need to do more to help women produce films and be in films, because we’re smarter than men and better than men.”

Many of this year’s recurring cast of Awards faces were in attendance for Paltrow’s advice: Spencer, Viola Davis (with a sudden new short hairstyle that will be a telecast red carpet talking point if she keeps it until Sunday), Letty Aronson, Jessica Chastain (“saving her voice for the weekend”), Shailene Woodley, and Allison Janney all...
