Orlando Jones is a self-described comic book nerd, so when it came to finding the perfect venue for "Tainted Love," his gritty and profane love letter to graphic novels, the actor and comedian said Machinima immediately sprung to mind.

The popular YouTube channel is a gathering spot for fans of geek culture and it's a destination for Jones when he wants to get his inner fanboy on. "Tainted Love" debuted two weeks ago on Machinima Prime and the third episode airs Thursday.

"If they were going create Batman today, they would release it in the digital space," Jones told TheWrap. "Machinima is place I go when I'm...

Angelina Jolie to Remove Ovaries in Next Cancer-Prevention Step

May, 15, 2013 8:03 am | Comments On #Movies

Following her first brave surgical choice, Angelina Jolie plans to have her ovaries removed next, according to a new report in People Magazine.

“I started with the breasts, as my risk of breast cancer is higher than my risk of ovarian cancer, and the surgery is more complex,” Jolie wrote in a revealing New York Times op-ed on Tuesday.

As we learned from her double mastectomy disclosure, Jolie has what she called a "faulty" BRCA1 gene (which stands for BReast CAncer susceptibility gene 1). This gene mutation not only dramatically increases one's risk for breast cancer, but it also causes a high probability of a woman developing ovarian cancer, which Jolie's doctors estimated at 50 percent. Her...

May, 15, 2013 6:19 am | Comments On #Television

President Barack Obama chose the wrong Brit to distract the press from the scandals currently enveloping his presidency, "The Daily Show"s' John Oliver joked on Tuesday night

The embattled commander in chief was in the hot seat during a joint press conference with U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron earlier this week as the media grilled him about his administration's response to the Benghazi attacks and the IRS' investigation into Tea Party groups.

"Prince Harry is in town...that's the Brit that you want," Oliver said. "Not the pasty MP from West Oxfordshire. I'm talking about the dashing soldier prince."

Battered Networks Blow Up Traditional TV Schedule to Take on Cable, Streaming Rivals

May, 14, 2013 8:40 pm | Comments On #24, Betrayal, Fox, Kevin Reilly, Television, Wayward Pines

One of the biggest television shows next season won't air until the season is nearly over – and that should tell you something about broadcasters' wavering loyalty to the traditional September-May broadcast season.

Fox plans to debut its 12-episode "24" revival in May, and use it to launch another much-hyped, limited-run series, M. Night Shyamalan's "Wayward Pines." The network is following the lead of NBC, which used an unconventional April launch date for "The Voice" in 2011 to build it into a hit.

Gone are the days that broadcast networks bet the house on shows by debuting them at the start of the season with plans for a 22- or 24-episode run...
