‘My 600-lb Life’: Molestation Survivor Is Eating Herself to Death (Exclusive Video)

Food addict can barely make it out of bed — let alone to Texas

Diana Bunch was molested by two older boys at age 11. Since then, a perpetual out-of-control feeling has carried over to her calorie consumption.

Though thin through high school, Diana felt heavy and was pressured by her own mother to diet. Now 55, the Seattle resident weighs 620 pounds. As a result of her obesity, Diana suffers from extreme lymphedema, which has left her legs covered in blisters, rashes and open sores, according to TLC’s episode description.

An admitted food addiction has led Diana to seek comfort and control through overeating sweets and fast food, the Discovery-owned cable channel continued. As she becomes more dependent on friends and family for simple tasks, Diana realizes she is just pounds away from becoming totally bed-bound.

With the walls of her tiny one-bedroom apartment closing in, Diana’s niece Megan intervenes to give her aunt one last chance. Together, they head to Texas for a shot at gastric surgery with Dr. Now.

“My 600-lb Life” airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on TLC.
