“Mysteries of Laura” star Laz Alonso answered some tough questions, including whether he’d like to see Kanye West actually run for President in 2020, in a new episode of TheWrap’s Shot Topics, presented by Zacapa Rum.
In a new round of Shot Topics — the actor must answer a tough question, or take a drink in lieu of answering — Alonso was faced with questions about topics like the last time he was caught in a lie or whether he’s ever hooked up with a co-star.
“This is real talk!” he exclaimed, as he opted to drink instead of answering several of the randomly selected questions out of a mason jar.
But the NBC actor did decide to open up about how he feels about the possibility of Kanye West becoming President of the United States, as the hip hop mogul said he wanted to do at the MTV Video Music Awards.
“I’m 50-50 on Kanye West running for President,” he said. “I love how he stood up to President Bush during Katrina. But I think Kanye’s trigger finger would be a little too loose, man.”
