Nancy Meyers, the writer and director of "Something's Gotta Give" and "The Parent Trap," has signed with CAA, an individual with knowledge of her plans told TheWrap. She had been with WME, where she was for just a couple years after many more at ICM.
The Philadelphia native has written, directed and produced a series of successful movies since the late 1990s, beginning with "The Parent Trap" and including "The Holiday," "What Woman Want," "Something's Gotta Give" and "It's Complicated. Those five movies have grossed more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

Meyers began her film career as a writer and producer, penning " Private Benjamin," "Father of the Bride" and "Baby Boom." Before moving on to directing her won work, she wrote several of her early films for director Charles Shyer. She has since created her own genre of sorts, as ger most recent movies almost all deal with middle-aged, upper-class romance.
She has a pair of directing projects lined up — "The Intern," which she wrote and will star Tina Fey, and "The Chelsea," which her daughter Halli Meyers-Shyer wrote and will star Felicity Jones.
