NBA Finals Ratings: Game 4 Scores Best Championship Series Number in 7 Years

With the Dallas Mavericks rallying to tie the series, game scores an 11.1 overnight rating

Nothing like a little fourth-quarter drama to bring in eyeballs.

Game 4 of the NBA Finals, in which the Dallas Mavericks used a late run to trump LeBron James and the Miami Heat 86-83 — delivered an 11.1 overating rating, the championship series' highest in seven years, according to overnight Nielsens.

The broadcast hit its peak with a 15.5 in the scintillating late moments from 11:30 to 11:45 p.m. ET.

Dallas pulled even in the best-of-seven series with the win. Game 5 airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on ABC, preceded at 8 p.m. by Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night and at 8:30 p.m. by the Stuart Scott–hosted NBA Countdown.
