NBC Announces Fall Primetime Show Premiere Dates

Network will premiere all of its primetime entertainment shows, including seven new ones, during the week of Sept. 20-26. NFL football premieres earlier.

NBC will premiere its entire 2010-11 fall primetime schedule during the regular premiere week, Sept. 20-26, except for its NFL "Sunday Night Football" coverage. That will begin with a special telecast on Thursday, Sept 9, at 8 p.m. and then air in its regular time period beginning Sunday, Sept. 12.

The special Thursday night game, which airs each year as part of NBC's TV rights agreement with the NFL, will pit the Minnesota Vikings vs. the New Orleans Saints. The first Sunday night game on Sept. 12, will be the Dallas Cowboys at the Washington Redskins. The "Sunday Night Football" telecast begins at 8;15 p.m., following its lead-in "Football Night in America," which airs beginning at 7 p.m. The football telecasts are live and based on Eastern time.

For the fall, NBC will introduce seven new series: five dramas — "The Event," "Chase," "Undercovers," "Law & Order: Los Angeles" and "Outlaw" — along with comedy "Outsourced" and reality series "School Pride."

NBC will air repeats of freshman series "Law & Order: Los Angeles" and "Chase," along with veteran drama "Law & Order: SVU" on Saturday nights.
