NBC has picked up comedy “Vlad” as a put pilot, TheWrap has learned.
The multi-camera half-hour sitcom stars Vladimir Caamaño and is based on the comedian’s life with his Dominican father and older brother living in the Bronx.
Caamaño will star, write and executive produce. Adam Sztykiel will also serve as writer and EP, while Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold will executive produce through their Doozer production company.
Caamaño appeared with Raphie May and Kevin Pollack on “Gotham Comedy Live” and is represented by Innovative Artists and CH Entertainment.
