NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt to Be Honored at Trevor Project Event

Yahoo, Skylar Kergil also will receive awards next month

NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt will be among the honorees at TrevorLIVE Los Angeles.

Greenblatt will be honored with the Trevor Hero Award at the event, presented by the Trevor Project, which provides crisis-intervention services for LGBTQ youth.

Also receiving awards at the event, which will take place Dec. 7 at the Hollywood Palladium: Yahoo, which will be bestowed the 20/20 Visionary Award, and transgender artist/musician/YouTube personality Skylar Kergil, who will receive the Youth Innovator Award.

“All of our honorees this year are not only supporters but also strong role models. Their continued efforts have helped broaden the public awareness of the LGBTQ community,” Trevor Project executive director & CEO Abbe Land said. “Whether it is through the development of diverse television programming, being a proponent of tolerance and equality in the work force, or openly sharing their story, they’ve all become pioneers who continuously push the boundaries and given a voice to our younger generation.”

TrevorLIVE Los Angeles, which is presented by Wells Fargo, will include performances by Katharine McPhee, Jesse Tyler Fergusonn, Alex Newell, Melora Hardin and Marc Shaiman, with appearances by Brittany Snow, Katherine Heigl, Dan Bucatinsky, Lisa Kudrow, Kelly Osbourne and others.

Adam Shankman (“Hairspray,” “17 Again”) is producing the soiree, marking the fifth consecutive year he’s directed the event.
