NBC Gives Go-Ahead to ‘Perfect’ Pilot

Jon Pollack and Scott Silveri are executive producers on romantic comedy pilot from Universal Media Studios

NBC announced another greenlighted pilot, romantic comedy “Perfect Couples.”

The pickup, announced Wednesday by Angela Bromstad, president of primetime entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios, is the sixth scripted series for NBC’s 2010-11 season.

The network previously announced pilot pickups of scripted series "Chase," "Undercovers," "The Event," "Love Bites" and "Outsourced."

Jon Pollack (“30 Rock”) and Scott Silveri (“Friends”) are executive producers of the series, which is produced by Universal Media Studios.

“Jon and Scott are hugely talented writer-producers and they’ve really delivered with ‘Perfect Couples,’” Bromstad said in a statement. “The comedy includes a cast of three distinctive couples who share the same issues and will draw viewers in with their relatable stories.”

“Perfect Couples” depicts the misadventures of three engaging couples as they struggle to find out what makes the ideal relationship.

Kyle Howard ("My Boys”) and Christine Woods (“FlashForward”) are the relatable, normal couple. His needy best friend (Dave Walton of NBC’s “100 Questions”) and his neurotic wife (Mary Elizabeth Ellis, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) are the high-passion, high-drama couple who bring out the best and worst in each other. The third couple matches Hayes MacArthur (“She’s Out of My League”), as a reformed partier, with Olivia Munn (“Attack of the Show”), the group’s mother hen.
