NBC Relaunches ‘Law & Order: Los Angeles’

Procedural crime drama placed back into NBC’s lineup after cast shakeup, hiatus

After a shaky period that befits its earthquake-prone setting, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" is back on solid ground.

NBC announced on Monday that it's relaunching the series, which debuted last September, with a two-hour episode on April 11, from 9-11 p.m.

The series will resume its regular time slot on Mondays from 10-11 p.m. on April 18.

The relaunch comes following a cast shakeup in January that saw the departure of Skeet Ulrich, Regina Hall and Megan Boone, and a decision by NBC to put the series on hiatus, also in January.

The series will return with Alfred Molina in his role as Det. Ricardo Morales and Corey Stoll as Det. Tomas “TJ” Jaruszalski.

Robert Greenblatt, NBC's chairman, entertainment, said of the relaunch, "[Series creator] Dick Wolf and his team have made some exciting creative changes and we can’t wait to re-introduce the show to audiences.”

Earlier in the season, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" averaged a 2.5 rating/7 share in adults 18-49 and 9 million viewers overall.
