Additionally, coach Blake Shelton and former team member Xenia will do a holiday song duet on the NBC talent show
Inaugural “American Idol” champ Kelly Clarkson is returning to perform on NBC's “The Voice” on next Tuesday's Top 6 elimination episode airing at 9/8c. She'll perform “Underneath the Tree” from her new Christmas album “Wrapped in Red.”
Additionally, coach Blake Shelton will perform a duet of Holiday staple, “Silver Bells,” with Season 1 team member Xenia on the same episode.
Clarkson has both performed and acted as a guest mentor on “The Voice” before. Despite her “Idol” ties, she has been a very vocal fan of the NBC talent show.
A three-time Grammy Award winner, Clarkson has released 6 studio albums, 1 Greatest Hits album, has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, and has had 10 singles in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Her last studio album, “Stronger,” was certified platinum, won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album and produced the hit singles, “Mr. Know It All” and “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).”
Xenia made it to the Final 8 on her season and placed second on Team Blake. Currently signed to Universal Republic Records, she released her debut EP “Sing You Home” in December 2011. It reached No. 3 on the iTunes Pop charts, and No. 10 on the iTunes overall charts.
On Tuesday, “The Voice” named its Top 6 finalists who will perform on Monday's live show at 8/7c.
