NBCU Cable Entertainment Names E! Exec Steve Dolcemaschio Head of Reality Studio

Studio produces “The Soup,” “Fashion Police,” “Ice Loves Coco,” and “Giuliana & Bill”

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment has named E! Entertainment executive Steve Dolcemaschio as the new president of its reality studio.

The studio, currently known as Comcast Entertainment Studios, will be renamed in 2012. Dolcemaschio will oversee the studio, which  develops and produces reality and topical programs for varied cable networks, including E!’s “The Soup”, “Fashion Police” and “Ice Loves Coco,” The Style Network’s “Giuliana & Bill” and GSN’s “Baggage.”

Dolcemaschio will transition from his role as E! chief operating officer over the next several months. Jay James, executive vice president of development, will continue to head  development and report to Dolcemaschio.

Dolcemaschio joined E! in 2000 and has served as COO for the past six years.
