Neve Campbell is set to make her debut on WGN America’s “Manhattan” in this week’s episode.
Campbell will play Kitty Oppenheimer, the wife of Robert Oppenheimer, who is known as “the Father of the Atomic Bomb.”
In an exclusive clip obtained by TheWrap, Kitty explains how she and Robert met each other. “I had just married my third husband,” she says. “Of course Robert isn’t the type to steal a man’s wife, so I reeled him in the old fashioned way. I got pregnant.”
The show explores life at the Los Alamos military base during World War II, where scientists labored tirelessly to create the first atomic bomb.
Ash Zukerman, Rachel Brosnahan, John Benjamin Hickey and Olivia Williams also star in the period drama, which won WGN America its first Emmy Award earlier this year.
“Manhattan” airs on WGN America on Tuesdays at 9 p.m./8c.
