New ‘Avengers’ Clips: Iron Man and Thor Duke it Out, Loki Gets Schooled (Video)

Three new snippets from "The Avengers" find the men in tights going up against their foe — and each other

If it seems like you've already seen the big-screen superhero epic "The Avengers," there's good reason: In the run-up to the film's May 4 release, the clips have been coming fast and furious.

But really, that's a problem along the lines of, "Gee, this ice cream is just too delicious." And today, the Internet graces us with three creamy scoops of men-in-tights goodness in the form of three new clips.

In the first, playboy industrial magnate Tony Stark — aka Iron Man, aka Robert Downey Jr. — attempts to warn the movie's villain, Loki, about what he'll be up against if he continues along his evil-doing ways.

"I have an army," Loki — portrayed by Tom Hiddleston — confidently declares.

"We have a Hulk," Stark shoots back. "When they come — and they will — they will come for you … There is no version of this where you come out on top."

In yet another clip, Loki finds himself imprisoned, with S.H.I.E.L.D. commander Nick Fury giving him the business after the baddie gets cocky with Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

"How desperate are you, to call on such lost creatures?" Loki asks, referring to the titular assemblage of superheroes that Fury has called upon to save the world.

"You threatened my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did," Fury cautions.

A third clip features Iron Man doing battle with Thor — and finding out that the Norse god of thunder is plenty capable of giving his high-tech armor a run for its money.
