New ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Clip Teases Behind the Scenes Magic (Video)

New film written by J.K. Rowling premieres in theaters Nov. 18

The magic of movie making is on full display in a new behind the scenes look at “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the new film written by “Harry Potter” creator J.K. Rowling.

“This world, it’s been a wonder really,” star Eddie Redmayne says in the clip. “It’s just unlike anything I’ve ever been a part of.” Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, a British wizard who travels to New York in the 1920’s along with a collection of magical creatures.

But when some of the creatures escape, Scamander must team up with two American witch sisters and one muggle (or “no maj” as they’re called in America) and find them before anything bad happens.

Alison Sudol, who plays a witch named Queenie, admits that pretending to use magic on set started creeping into her real life.

“Sometimes I’ll walk around and I’ll have something in my hand and I’ll just and forget that I can’t make things move [with magic],” Sudol says.

In addition to Redmayne and Sudol, the film also stars Katherine Waterston as Queenie’s sister, Tina, and Dan Fogler as the no maj Jacob.

J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay for the film, which is set in the same universe as “Harry Potter.” David Yates, who directed the last four “Harry Potter” films, is directing this project.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in theaters on Nov. 18.
