New Leads in Notorious B.I.G. Murder Case

Law enforcement turns attention back to 1997’s unsolved murder of rapper

The murders of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur remain unsolved.

However, CNN reports that new leads have opened up in the Notorious B.I.G. (a.k.a Christopher Wallace or "Biggie Smalls") case. An anonymous law enforcement source wouldn't divulge details, but told CNN that the investigation was "reinvigorated." And as of new information, a task force that "includes the Los Angeles Police Department, L.A. County District Attorney's Office and the FBI" are back on the case.

The original efforts came up with dead ends and an investigating detective, Russell Poole, retired from the force as a result, claiming that when his investigation lead to an alleged conspiracy involving members of his own police force.
