New ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Trailer: Captain Kirk Gets a Dire Warning (Video)

Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood) warns Captain Kirk that his reckless actions will have grave consequences

"Star Trek Into Darkness" new trailer comes packed with more footage, less Benedict Cumberbatch and a dire warning for Captain Kirk (Chris Pine).

“You think that you can't make mistakes, but there’s going to come a moment when you’re wrong about that," the familiar voice of Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood) warns. "And you’re going to get yourself, and everyone under your command, killed.”

The Japanese version of the previous teaser trailer suggests that means audiences could say be saying goodbye to a very important character, but then again, that could just be what director J.J. Abrams wants us to think. 

We'll find out the fate of the crew aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise when the sequel hits theaters on May 17, 2013.
