Sad news for Nick Cave.
The Bad Seeds singer’s 15-year-old son Arthur died Tuesday after falling from a cliff, according to the Sussex Police.
Police said that the younger Cave fell from the cliffs of Ovingdean Gap and was found with life-threatening injuries at 6 p.m. Tuesday. He later died of those injuries after being transported to a hospital.
Foul play is not suspected in Cave’s death, police said.
In a statement, Nick Cave and his wife Susie called Arthur (pictured at left) their “beautiful, happy, loving boy.”
“Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy, loving boy,” the couple said.
“We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time,” they added.
