Nicole Kidman is attached to star as the wrong woman scorned in Adrian Lyne’s indie thriller “Silent Wife,” which Sidney Kimmel Entertainment will fully finance and produce, TheWrap has learned.

Kidman will play a woman whose husband has an affair with his best friend’s twenty-something daughter. When she finds out, she plots his murder.

Billy Ray wrote the script, which offers the kind of sexual intrigue that Lyne has been attracted to throughout his career, from “9 1/2 Weeks” and “Fatal Attraction” to “Indecent Proposal” and his last feature film, 2002’s “Unfaithful.”

Kidman and Lyne are expected to produce with Paula Mazur, Mitchell Kaplan and Kidman’s Blossom Films partner Per Saari.

FilmNation will begin shopping the project to international buyer at the upcoming American Film Market, while CAA will handle domestic rights.

Kidman next stars in Ray’s remake of “The Secret In Their Eyes.” She’s represented by CAA, which also reps Lyne.
