‘Nine’ Director Optimistic About Directing Fourth ‘Pirates’

Rob Marshall: “We’re still trying to figure out if it’s going to all happen”

ComingSoon.net sat down with director Rob Marshall to talk about his fantastic new Fellini-inspired musical "Nine," and eventually the conversation got around to his next movie, which is taking over the directing reigns on Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."

"I was so surprised they called me," he told us when asked how that gig came about. "It was Johnny Depp and Jerry Bruckheimer. Jerry called me, but Johnny was interested in working with me. "We’re still trying to figure out if it’s going to all happen," he continued.
