Obama Disses Talking Heads in Gun-Control Speech

The president seems to expect some backlash from cable news commentators

President Obama called out the cable-news commentators sure to bash the gun-control measure he outlined in a press conference Wednesday morning.

The speech came a day after the National Rifle Association released a new ad calling Obama an "elitist hypocrite" whose own children enjoy the armed protection of the Secret Service.

The ad also featured "Meet the Press" host David Gregory, who held up a 30-round gun magazine –which are illegal in the District of Columbia — during an interview with an NRA executive on his show. Last week, the District's attorney general said that while Gregory was guilty of violating the law, his prosecution would not be in the public interest.
