Olivier Martinez, Missy Peregrym Join Yahoo Film ‘Cybergeddon’

"Zero Hour" director Diego Velasco also joins "CSI" creator Anthony E. Zuiker's online film

Oliver Martinez and Missy Peregrym will star in the Yahoo!-only film "Cybergeddon," to be directed by "Zero Hour" helmer Diego Velasco, producer Anthony E. Zuiker announced Wednesday.

Zuiker, creator of "CSI," said the "Unfaithful" actor and "Rookie Blue" actress would be joined by castmates Manny Montana (“Breakout Kings”) and Kick Gurry ("Speed Racer").

"Cybergeddon," which centers on cybercrime and identity theft, is now in production in Toronto. The story follows FBI agent Chloe Jocelyn (Peregrym) as she cyber-attacks with fellow agent Frank Parker (Montana) and hacker Chase ‘Rabbit’ Rosen (Gurry). They try to crack a cybercrime ring led by mastermind Gustove Dobreff (Martinez).

"I could not be happier with the talent level for Cybergeddon.  Missy, Manny, and Kick are such gifted actors and a dream trio for us, and Diego is a dynamic shooter and visceral storyteller. Adding Olivier Martinez to the mix puts this movie over the top," Zuiker said.

"Cybergeddon" will premiere globally on Yahoo! in September 2012 as a series of sequential installments. It is written by Miles Chapman ("The Tomb". Zuicker's fellow executive producers are Matthew Weinberg and Dolphin Digital Studios CEO Bill O’Dowd. Dolphin is backing the project in a deal brokered by Creative Artists Agency.

"Dolphin’s commitment to bringing best in class original scripted programming to the Internet starts with the combination of the best talent and the budget to execute their vision,” said Bill O’Dowd, CEO, Dolphin Digital Studios.  “Anthony E. Zuiker is a world class storyteller and it is a testament to his vision for Cybergeddon that we are able to attract Olivier, Missy, and such an amazing cast."
