Ratings: ‘Once’ Jumps, ABC Wins First Sunday of May Sweep

CBS tops in viewers

ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” ticked up 24 percent to help hand the network first place in ratings on Sunday — the first of the May sweeps period.

CBS topped the night in viewers.

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.7 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in viewers with an average of 6.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 7 p.m., “America’s Funniest Home Videos” earned a 1.6/6 — a 23 percent uptick from its last original — and 6.5 million viewers. “Once Upon a Time” at 8 received a 2.1/6 and 6.9 million viewers. “Resurrection” at 9 got a 1.9/5 and 7.5 million viewers. At 10, “Revenge” had a 1.2/3 and 5 million viewers.

CBS and Fox tied for second in ratings, each with a 1.5/4. CBS was first in viewers with 9.2 million, Fox was fourth with 3.3 million.

For CBS, “60 Minutes” at 7 received a 1.4/5 — a 27 percent bump from last week — and a night-high 10.3 million viewers. “The Amazing Race” at 8 earned a 1.9/6 and 8.6 million viewers. At 9, “The Good Wife” had a 1.3/3 and 9.3 million viewers. At 10, “The Mentalist” tied a series low with a 1.2/3, and had 8.7 million viewers.

For Fox, “Bob’s Burgers” at 7 got a 1.1/4 — up 83 percent from a special last Sunday — and had 2.4 million viewers. “American Dad” at 7:30 had a 1.2/4 and 2.5 million viewers. “The Simpsons” at 8 received a 1.5/5 and 3.4 million viewers. “Family Guy” at 8:30 earned a 2.1/6 and 4 million viewers. At 9, “Cosmos” got a 1.4/4 and 3.6 million viewers.

NBC was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and third in viewers with 4.5 million. “American Dream Builders” at 7 jumped 40 percent from last Sunday to a 0.7/2, and had 3.1 million viewers. “Dateline” at 8 had a 1.1/3 — up 38 percent — and 6.1 million viewers. “Believe” at 9 received a 1.2/3 and 4.9 million viewers. “Crisis” at 10 got a 1.0/3 and 4 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in total viewers with 2.2 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.6 million.
