TIFF 2017: “This deep curiosity compelled him to ask too many questions,” Rachel Grady says of one of her subjects

Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady, the directors of the documentary “One of Us,” sat down with TheWrap’s Matt Donnelly at the Toronto Film Festival to talk about their new documentary.

They spent two years following members of the Hasidic Jewish community who felt emboldened to step outside their very cloistered upbringing and explore the outside world — including one man who discovered Google.

“This deep curiosity compelled him to ask too many questions,” Grady explained.
