Open Road Partners With Showtime for Premium TV Window

Deal starts bringing Open Road releases to the cable network beginning in 2017

Open Road Films and Showtime Networks Inc. have made a multi-year deal to bring the upstart film distributor’s movies exclusively to the cable network’s channels, the companies announced Tuesday.

The pact, which runs from 2017 to 2020, will see Open Road films come to the CBS-owned Showtime, the Movie Channel and Flix during the premium TV window. Distribution covers all platforms, including Showtime on Demand and Showtime Anytime.
