Roadside Attractions period drama slated for February release
Elizabeth Olsen and Oscar Isaac steam up the screen in this latest look at Roadside Attractions’ Emile Zola adaptation, “In Secret.”
The film, previously titled “Therese Raquin” after its source material and title character (Olsen), tells the familiar story of a girl betrothed into a sexless marriage and finding her only escape in murder and betrayal.
After Therese is forced to marry her cousin, played by Tom Felton (aka Draco Malfoy), she falls in love with the dashing painter Laurent (Isaac). The only way they can be together involves murdering Therese’s poor husband – with unexpected repercussions.
Roadside Attractions acquired the “In Secret” in September, just before the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is slated for a Feb. 21, 2014 release.
