Tyler Perry and OWN continues to be a winning combination.

The fall finale of Perry’s primetime soap opera, “The Haves and the Have Nots” attracted 2.6 million viewers on Tuesday. That is a series high for the drama and places it in the No. 2 position on TV among OWN’s target demographic, women 25-54.

Attracting .8 million more viewers than the season’s per episode average (1.4 million) , “The Haves and the Have Nots” saw a 44 percent bump in total viewers and a 44 percent increase in women 25-54.

Executive produced by Perry, the drama follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent Savannah, Georgia, mansion. New episodes return in January 2014.

Perry’s suite of shows for OWN, including Perry’s “Love Thy Neighbor,” has helped increased ratings at the network and introduced original scripted programming on the cable network.

In July, the cable network announced it is profitable and paying back the investment Discovery put into them. It is currently nominated for a Primetime Emmy for “Oprah’s Master Class” and won an Interactive Emmy for “Oprah’s Lifeclass.”
