‘Pain & Gain’ Trailer: Meet Michael Bay’s New Bad Boys (Video)

Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson star in the blockbuster director's bodybuilding buddy action-comedy

Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are Michael Bay's newest bad boys in the first trailer for "Pain & Gain."

Starring as a pair of jacked bodybuilders that are in way over their heads in an illegal get-rich-quick scheme gone wrong, their chemistry is reminiscent of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's in 1995's "Bad Boys."

The duo may not be as funny, but they get along just as well and can handle walking away from an explosion without flinching a muscle — a challenge considering how much of it they have to flinch.

And although the buddy action-comedy was only shot on a small (by Bay's standards) $25 million budget, the action sequences appear to pack the same punch as his biggest blockbusters.

At the very least, viewers can look forward to the director's signature slow-mo, plenty of girls in bikinis and exciting car chases when his latest lands in theaters on April 26, 2013.

Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris and Tony Shalhoub co-star.
