“Party of Five” star Michael A. Goorjian is joining up for a guest role on USA Network’s “Covert Affairs.”
The actor will play Borz Altan, a former U.S. soldier who became disillusioned with the ideals of the “American Dream.” Annie (Piper Perabo) begins investigating Borz when she uncovers that he may be connected to an imminent threat.
Goorjian is best known for playing Justin Thompson, Julia’s (Neve Campbell) friend, and later boyfriend, on Fox’s “Party of Five.”

Since then, he has guest-starred on numerous shows, including Fox’s “Lie to Me” and “House,” CBS’s “CSI: Miami,” ABC’s “Alias” and USA’s “Monk.” He has also starred in the films “SLC Punk!,” “Leaving Las Vegas” and “Forever Young.” His novel, “Beatrice,” will be released later this year.
Goorjian’s casting follows the recent announcement that “Body of Proof” star Nic Bishop has joined the show as a series regular.

From Universal Cable Productions, the drama also stars Christopher Gorham, Hill Harper, Kari Matchett and Peter Gallagher. The series returns this summer.
