The comedian and sitcom star will host the 18th annual ceremony on May 19
Comedian Patton Oswalt will return to host the 18th annual Webby Awards, the competition honoring all things on the internet announced on Tuesday.
Oswalt, who hosted the last two Webby Awards ceremonies, will take the stage at the Cipriani Wall Street in the Financial District of New York City to open the show on May 19.
Audiences can tune in online the next day to watch the winners make 5-word acceptance speeches when recognized for excellence in dozens of categories, which honor websites, interactive advertising and media, online film and video, mobile and apps, and social media.
“Patton wins the Internet almost every day,” David-Michel Davies, Executive Director of The Webby Awards, said in a statement. “His comedic creativity very much mirrors the ingenuity exhibited by the awards recipients and we feel fortunate to have him hosting again this year.”
