“The Greatest Event in Television History” continues. Can Adam Scott’s marriage survive?
Paul Rudd doesn’t just play a part, he becomes it.
The “Role Models” star’s exacting method acting is on full display in the latest edition of “The Greatest Event in Television History.” Past versions have involved meticulous recreations of the opening credits to such television chestnuts as “Hart to Hart” and “Too Close for Comfort,” but this installment ups the ante.
It’s a shot for shot remake of the opening to “Bosom Buddies,” the early ’80s sitcom that featured Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari as roommates who must disguise themselves as women in order to get a cheap apartment in an all female building.
To get into the right frame of mind, Rudd boldly goes back to the era of Ronald Reagan and Rubik’s Cubes. He also moves into co-star Adam Scott‘s house, which creates…complications.
Tune in for Rudd’s diva hijinks, stay for the hilarious cameos from Hanks and Billy Joel.
