Paying It Forward

A yoga-based movement and mindfulness curriculum that helps young children be more physically fit, emotionally stable and learning able

I have one of those blessed careers. I am an actress, a mother and a yoga teacher. I’ve been extremely fortunate to be able to develop programs to help women during every age and stage of their lives and tools for women who are struggling with infertility through my company, Strong Yoga4Women.

In addition to women's health issues, I am also deeply concerned about the growing epidemic of childhood obesity. Fortunately, my visibility has given me a powerful platform to bring attention to these health problems and their solutions.

My dear friend Leah Kalish is a yoga teacher and education innovator. Her newest program, Move with Me, is a yoga-based movement and mindfulness curriculum that helps young children be more physically fit, emotionally stable and learning able.

Now she is poised to help children everywhere as one of the top 10 finalists in the Partnership for a Healthier America’s End Childhood Obesity Challenge, chaired by First Lady Michelle Obama.

Move with Me has been chosen out of thousands of companies to compete for the opportunity to present their programs at the Health Summit in Washington, D.C., early 2013. This is where you come in!

Please help make a difference in the lives of children everywhere by voting for her program. In honor of the philosophy of paying it forward, I ask you — for Leah, for me and, most importantly, for our children and their futures — to take action today. You can make a difference. Vote now for Move With Me at http://say.ly/QmH4Vf9.
