President Obama Coming Back to Los Angeles

President Obama will attend campaign events in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Feb. 15

President Obama will be back in Los Angeles for campaign events on Wednesday.

On Thursday, he is scheduled to be at campaign events in Corona del Mar and San Francisco.

The president last visited Los Angeles in October, when he attended back-to-back fund-raisers in Hancock Park and taped an episode of "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno."

With the presidential election nine months away, the president has been heavily courting Hollywood — and its money.

In October, the president attended fund-raisers at the Hancock Park home of James and Mai Lassiter. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith hosted that event. From there, he went to a Latino gala at the home of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas. Eva Longoria hosted.

Obama was in West Hollywood for a pair of fundraisers Sept. 26. And he was in Culver City and Brentwood for fundraising events at Sony Pictures Studio and Tavern restaurant on April 21.

A presidential visit to Hancock Park in August 2010 caused traffic havoc when all lanes of Olympic Boulevard were closed.

Wednesday's visit marks Obama's ninth visit to Los Angeles since taking office.
