President Obama Golfs With Larry David on Martha’s Vineyard

The president is winding up his vacation on the Vineyard with Hollywood and other friends

obamaPresident Barack Obama hit the golf course on Saturday with comedian Larry David, whose new film is set on Martha’s Vineyard where the president is winding up his weeklong vacation.

The president, who has frequently vacationed on the Hollywood-friendly, upscale island off the Massachusetts coast, golfed with David, former U.S. trade representative Ron Kirk and businessman Glenn Hutchins (pictured left with Obama; AP photos), a part owner of the Boston Celtics basketball team, at the Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs, according to media reports.

In David’s new HBO movie, “Clear History,” the comedian plays a failed Silicon Valley car larry davidentrepreneur who finds work as a man-servant for an elderly lady on Martha’s Vineyard. Jon Hamm, playing his former boss and nouveau Internet billionaire, moves into a hated McMansion on the island.

No word on whether the president saw the movie.

The president rubbed elbows with plenty of Hollywood figures during his week on the island. He hung out earlier with the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator on Wednesday at a cocktail party thrown in his honor by Comcast CEO Brian Roberts. Attorney General Eric Holder, National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett were also in attendance.

The president wraps up his vacation Sunday.
