President Obama Takes a Morning Meeting With Hollywood’s Younger Set

Jessica Alba, Dianna Agron, Zach Braff, Jeremy Renner and other young stars hit the Beverly Hilton for an early-morning huddle with Obama on Thursday

President Obama was already in Hollywood, so he took the opportunity early on Thursday to squeeze in a little extra face time with some of his biggest supporters: celebrities.

This time, Obama held a morning meeting with 25 members of Hollywood's younger set — including Jessica Alba, "Glee's" Dianna Agron, Zachary Quinto, Jeremy Renner, Zach Braff and Ian Somerhalder — to talk politics at the Beverly Hilton hotel. And they didn't hesitate to pose for photo-ops with POTUS while they were at it.

Several from among the president's famous guests took to Twitter to spread the word about the meeting later that day, thus doing their part to help his re-election campaign while counting themselves among the invited few.

"Got up bright & early to hear @BarackObama speak w an awesome group," Alba tweeted, along with a photo (pictured above) and a link steering her followers to the Young Americans for Obama web hub.

"Glee's" Agron (pictured with Obama, above left) sounded a bit like a fan, tweeting, "Maybe the only man I truly get nervous around. Worth the early wake up call."

"The Vampire Diaries'" broody Somerhalder hinted at the content of his chat with Obama in his own tweet: "Just spent my morning with this man talking about green energy, a better America and being a young American — wow."

The private meeting was part of Team Obama's strategy for its "Young America Effort," aiming to re-energize and mobilize a key demographic that helped the president clinch the election in 2008, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The previous night, the president held a fund-raiser targeting his LGBT supporters at the Beverly Wilshire hotel before heading to "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy's home for another celebrity-heavy event.

Next week, he'll draw on star power again with actress Sarah Jessica Parker and Vogue editrix Anna Wintour at a money-raising gathering on June 14 at Parker's Manhattan home.
