Rachel Maddow has had it with Republican conspiracy theories.
On Wednesday night's episode of her MSNBC show, she said conspiracy theories about everything from where President Obama was born to whether unemployment statistics are real are an "infection."
"This infection is leaving the conservative media through purportedly neutral arbiters of fact like Politifact, these false conservative, feel-good assertions about noble facts that come from the right, end up becoming just the other side of a political issue," Maddow said. "And that is bull."
Maddow also trashed the conspiracy-thumping website World Net Daily — whose "reporters" have written about the birther theory and said Obama is a closeted homosexual.
"Do whatever you need to do to make yourself feel better, but do not confuse your World Net Daily caliber, therapeutic, conservative alternative reality fantasy babble for what actually happened," she said. "Because stuff really does actually happen, and eventually you really do need to deal with it."
