Fox's Struggling 'Rake' Moves Finale to Saturday

A “Kitchen Nightmares” repeat will run in the Friday slot vacated by the Greg Kinnear legal drama

Fox is moving the “Rake” finale to Saturday, when it will air back-to-back episodes beginning at 8 p.m. to close out a rocky first season.

The Greg Kinnear legal drama has been struggling in the ratings all year. Last month, it was shuffled from its original Thursday timeslot to Fridays, followed by “Enlisted” at 9 p.m. and “Raising Hope” at 9:30 p.m. “Raising Hope's” series finale airs this Friday.

In Live + 7 ratings, “Rake” is averaging a 1.1 rating/3 share in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic and 4.6 million total viewers.

In what had been the regular “Rake” timeslot, Fox will air a “Kitchen Nightmares” rerun on Friday at 8.

The following two Fridays, April 11 and 18, will each have two new hours of “Kitchen Nightmares.”

I can't believe they are ending Rake. Kinnear is an excellent actor and the show is very entertaining. I am very disappointed that another dumb reality show is replacing Rake

This show is so good. I can't believe Fox didn't give it a fair chance. I seriously hope it is picked up by another network!

What the heck? So tired of this. Quality show once again given ZERO chance.

This was my new favorite to watch. I think Fox is making a big mistake. I hope another network picks this show up!

One of the freshest shows on TV, and one of my favorites. Apparently Fox doesn't know a good show when they see it. I am so sick of these “best singer” shows. Talk about boring. Get rid of American Idol.. in it's what 10 or 11 years… just how many idols have we gotten. 1 great singer, but no idols as of yet. Another Fox failure, cartoon Sundays. Really? Keep rake and get rid of that garbage.

  • ruined it for me

Loved this show, but they sure ended with an all guns blazing low. Beastiality, lesbians and bangin best friends wife… wow

The original Australian version, going into it's 3rd season is really the >only< version of this series.

During the Americanization process, the soul of the show was lost in translation. Ideally, FOX would've just bought the rights to the original version and aired it in the states. I noticed Netflix recently added the original.

Sorry US audiences, you get the homogenized copy =(

I'll stick with cable shows or sports… these Nielsen box idiots only watch reality shows so another good show gets cancelled.. we have a nation of over 300 million.. but it seems like they only give these boxes to u if ur born after 1985…well I'll stick with fx(sons of anarchy and justified)
