Ratings: ‘2 Broke Girls’ Down From ‘Mother’ in New Time Slot

NBC easily wins night in key demo; ABC wins in total viewers

“2 Broke Girls” took over the time slot for “How I Met Your Mother” Monday with ratings 35 percent below those of the departed show’s season average.

In its 8 p.m. time slot premiere for CBS, “Broke Girls” scored a 2.2 rating/7 share in the key 18-49 demographic, down from the 3.4/10 average for “Mother” in the time period. Of course, that average included the phenomenal ratings for the “Mother” finale.

NBC easily won the night in the demo, but ABC won in total viewers.

NBC averaged a 2.7/8 in the demo and 9.8 million total viewers. It was second in total viewers. At 8, “The Voice” had a 3.3/10 and 11.7 million. It was followed by a “Blacklist” repeat.

ABC was second in the ratings with a 1.9/6 and had 12.2 million total viewers. At 8, “Dancing With the Stars” had a 2.3/7 — up slightly from last week — and had 14.2 million total viewers. It was followed by a “Castle” repeat.

CBS was third in ratings and total viewers with a 1.7/5 and 6.1 million. Besides its 2.2/7, “Broke Girls” had 7.2 million total viewers in the demo. “Friends With Better Lives” at 8:30 had a 1.8/5 and 5.7 million total viewers. At 9, “Mike & Molly” had a 2.1/6 and 7.4 million. “Mom” at 9:30 had a 1.9/5 and 7.7 million, and was followed by a “Person of Interest” repeat.

Fox was fourth in ratings and total viewers with a 1.4/4 and 5 million. Both “Bones” at 9 and “The Following” at 10 had a 1.4/4 in the demo. “Bones” had 5.7 million total viewers, and “The Following” had 4.4 million.

Univision was fifth in ratings and total viewers with a 1.1/3 and 2.7 million.

Telemundo was sixth in both with .5/1 and 1.1 million.

The CW was seventh in both with a .4/1 and 921,000.
