Ratings: ABC Dominates With ‘Bachelorette,’ ‘Extreme Makeover’

“MasterChef” drops 9 percent, while the “Law & Order” franchise received mixed signals from the viewing public

Original episodes of "The Bachelorette" and "Extreme Makeover" handed ABC the top two ratings slots on Monday night, according to preliminary numbers.

The network's night kicked off with "The Bachelorette" at 8, which drew the evening's highest ratings with a 2.5 rating/8 share in the adults 18-49 demographic — a 9 percent increase over last Monday's episode — and 8 million total viewers.

"Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" followed at 10, grabbing second place with a 2.3/6 in the demo, a 15 percent increase over last week, and 6.3 million total viewers.

At Fox, the evening started out with a "MasterChef" repeat at 8, followed by an original episode of Gordon Ramsay's reality offering at 9, which felt a 9 percent decline from last Monday's offering with a 2.0/6 in the demo and 5 million total viewers.

NBC received a mixed bag with its original airings, with "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" at 9 slipping 9 percent versus last week with a 1.0/3 in the demo and 4.8 million total viewers and "Law & Order: Los Angeles" the following hour enjoying a 15 percent spike over last Monday's airing with a 1.5/4 in the demo and 6.4 million total viewers.

CBS ran repeats throughout the evening.
